If it gets enough interest I’m organizing one for summer (June or July because it’s still a bit too cold right now) because I’m tired of being a Narnia child who never gets to go to meetups because they’re all so far away!

Hi there! Hoping you’re doing alright.
For the past month or so I’ve been mentioning to a bunch of my friends and random Sherlockians that I’ve met that there may possibly be a Calgary Sherlock meetup and I’ve got quite a bit of people interested (maybe 10ish, that’s quite a bit for me!).
Since I’ll be leaving in about 3 days and I really want this to happen, I’ve taken the liberty of creating a twitter (@yycsherlock), facebook page (Calgarian Sherlockians), and a tumblr (221beaver). Please let me know if you want to admin for any of these! They aren’t active yet (all private/hidden) though. I’m planning to put them live on Friday/Saturday.
I also have plans for promotion:
- get featured on tumblr’s official meetup blog
- get featured on the “I Believe in Sherlock” tumblr/facebook
- signal boost by tumblr famous Sherlockians (e.g. bakerstreetbabes, etc)
- advertise on fb (it’s free!)
I’m in the process of making graphics for the websites right now and that should be done in the next few days
PS. Sorry if I’m being presumptuous by creating this but I really want this meetup to happen!
